Lucia is an editor, award-winning writer and poet. Her work is published across a wide spectrum of focus areas including: Global Health, International Affairs, Latino Affairs, Technology, Fashion, Legal, Medical, Culture, Fulbright Awards, Sports, Op-Ed (Newtown Interrupted), Acting (365 Dress Rehearsals Blog) and Entertainment.  Some of her work has been published in CT Latino News Network, Music Industry News Network, The Deli Magazine, The Pier Magazine, The Sports Fan Network and KESTA Happening Magazine.

In 2014, she wrote, directed, produced and starred in a one-act play, “Midi_s” that premiered as part of the Manhattan Repertory Theater Winter One-Act Competition in New York, NY.

In 2018, her poem “Made in America” was awarded a Gold Podcast Palooza Award at the HEAR Now Audio Film Festival in Kansas City, MO. 

She is a member of the New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).

She is currently working on a bilingual screenplay and a collection of fictional short stories.
