In this time of unimaginable chaos and global suffering, I have felt the need to turn off. I haven’t been able to write, draw, sing or create. I know that throughout other trying times in my life, I have always turned to different forms of Art to process what was happening around me. This is one of my all-time favorite poems. I hope it brings you peace. As always (and especially now), be (radically) kind~
My coworker and I stayed behind at the school to conduct our lessons and plan a big Friday Saint Patrick’s Day Party. It was full of face painting, drawing and coloring leprechauns, painting four-leaf clovers, making over-flowing pots of gold out of Lucky Charms cereal, and hiding Leprechauns -both indoors and outdoors- for the Dumplings to find in a scavenger hunt game. There were lots of pots of gold (chocolate coins), green sugar cookies and of course the snacks were…green (zelená pomazánka on rice cakes)!

I call Mordor over (he usually sees me and slowly approaches) and feed him lettuce and cucumbers followed by shell scratchies near the mid and hind end of his shell. Almost immediately, he begins to wiggle his tail and hind legs side to side (á laAriana Grande and Niki Minaj Side to Side style dancing).
